We are excited to announce that David Copeland has joined RTM Engineering Consultants, bringing over 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, with an extensive portfolio in acoustical design and consulting. His expertise includes architectural room acoustics; partition and sound isolation; speech privacy, intelligibility, and sound masking; HVAC equipment noise and vibration control; interior and exterior noise measurements and assessments; and field inspection, verification, and commissioning.
His previous roles within MEP engineering, technology consulting, acoustical consulting, and construction firms have given him the opportunity to view projects both from a technical engineering side, as well as the business development side. We are thrilled to have someone with such a unique and diverse perspective as part of our team. David’s dedication to fostering great client relationships coupled with continually cultivating his own knowledge of emerging industry standards aligns strongly with RTM’s own core values.
David received his Bachelor of Physics from Binghamton University and both a Master of Mechanical Engineering and a Multidisciplinary Program Certificate in Acoustical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction with the United States Green Building Council.
David will be joining our Chicago, IL office as Senior Acoustics Engineer, and will be working closely with our teams across the country to develop an acoustics program for RTM.
