RTM Engineering Consultants has recently promoted seven team members to leverage the company’s momentum including two strategic mergers, and drive the next phase of growth. New Principals at RTM include:
Marcin Jakubowski joined the firm in 2011 and has helped develop the Sustainability Studio and led an industrial studio at RTM’s Schaumburg headquarters. In 2017, Jakubowski moved to Florida where he is expanding RTM’s Orlando office. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Lodz University of Technology, and a Master’s in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Tim Hedrick has led various RTM studios and is currently the office leader for Schaumburg. Hedrick has expanded RTM’s recruiting program and mentored younger engineers interested in becoming studio leaders themselves. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering and joined RTM in 2011.
Sheetal Roy joined RTM as a Project Engineer in 2006. By 2011, she had been promoted to Associate, began leading an electrical studio, and played an integral part in building RTM’s first new office in Chicago. Roy has continued to expand the Chicago office footprint by improving studio efficiencies and mentoring younger engineers. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Kathryn Duytschaever started as a Project Engineer in 2008 and by 2010 was leading an engineering studio and earned a promotion to Associate. Duytschaever obtained her PE and developed a mechanical studio for RTM’s Chicago office. In 2014, she relocated to Iowa and built RTM’S Davenport office from the ground up. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Matt Zega joined RTM as a Project Engineer and played a key role in building RTM’s first office in Chicago. He then began taking on more business development responsibilities, both locally within the Midwest and on a national scale. Zega has led multiple studios in the Chicago office, while mentoring others in technical and business development projects. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Eric Brill became part of RTM after the acquisition of Geiger + Larson Engineering in 2014. He has led a studio and also helped start a leadership team for the Milwaukee office. Under Brill’s leadership, RTM has integrated emerging technologies to benefit clients. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Kathleen Hines Knutson joined RTM in 2014 after the acquisition of Geiger + Larson Engineering. As a studio leader, she was instrumental in the transition, working to build a cohesive team and increase operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Hines Knutson earned her PE and helped launch a leadership team in Milwaukee. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
