RTM Engineering Consultants, a trusted engineering consulting partner to some of the most respected architectural firms and Fortune 500 companies in the country, announces its recent merger with MRC Engineering. MRC is an engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design as well as expertise in lighting design to southern California construction clients.

“MRC is well-known in their region for designing energy-efficient systems for a variety of clients, with a portfolio that includes projects ranging from healthcare to retail, mixed-use, and multi-family,” said RTM CEO Tony Mirchandani. “In addition, it’s a company with a culture that matches well with our own. This partnership gives us the ability to not only better serve our current West Coast clients, but also to expand our reach in that region.”

MRC Engineering offers clients a comprehensive array of engineering and design services. Founded in 1993, the firm’s staff are dedicated to developing technically accurate construction documents while keeping the client and project requirements in clear focus. As a result, construction budgets are met while energy efficiency is optimized in the design.

“With this merger, MRC Engineering becomes part of a highly respected national firm with 170+ employees,” said MRC Principle Victor Leon. “It’s exciting because it means we can provide a higher level of service to our clients with the support of a much larger pool of resources, and it will allow us to broaden the types of projects we go after. In addition, it’s a great opportunity for our employees to grow and experience new challenges in their careers.”

MRC has been a recurrent collaborator with another recent RTM acquisition, Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins (MFEC) and through a positive working relationship delivered designs for a wide range of projects. Leon said months after MFEC became a division of RTM, it seemed like a natural fit for them and are excited to be a part of the same team now. “As a part of RTM, we will be able to serve our West Coast clients better, offering an enhanced ability to turn projects around quickly due to the availability of resources across the country,” said Leon.

Going forward, MRC will be operating as MRC Engineering, a division of RTM.
