RTM Engineering Consultants provided civil and electrical engineering design services for site improvements to 15 acres of the distribution facility for Amazon-owned ShopBob, an online clothing retailer in Madison, WI.
The facility needed to increase their available parking for staff, so an additional parking was added, handicap accessibility was improved and existing pavement upgrades were made. RTM also provided professional services for the drainage and storm water detention systems, site planning, water quality and soil erosion control including performing WinSLAMM soil erosion calculations for the site.
In conjunction with the additional parking, the RTM electrical team provided necessary electrical engineering design for the exterior mounted lighting for the parking lot. All permitting for the project was coordinated through both the City of Madison and the State of Wisconsin, as well as coordinating the architectural landscaping, surveying and geotechnical engineering services.
