Jim has spent 37 years and counting in the AEC industry gaining experience throughout his career as a mechanical engineer, project manager, and vice president before starting his own MEP firm. Jim’s savvy business operations and technical expertise were a perfect fit for RTM, which he joined in 2011. Now, Jim holds the position of Principal and leads several offices as a Business Unit Leader. His passion for quality engineering and networking come has evolved into providing mentorship to young designers and engineers and opportunities for knowledge sharing across RTM offices. Described as approachable and reliable, Jim enjoys troubleshooting a difficult project challenge as a collaborative team because “there can be multiple solutions to a problem, and there is always something new to learn from working with others.”
When not working, Jim enjoys wilderness adventures, collecting construction antiques, and adding to his classic car collection.
