University of California Davis, Orchard Park Student Housing

Originally constructed in 1964, Orchard Park served as apartment-style housing for students with families until 2015 when the facility was closed to prepare for redevelopment. Design efforts for this redevelopment were centered around the goals of maximizing affordability, enhancing the quality of student life, and providing exceptional facility design and operations. RTM Engineering Consultants was contracted to provide the mechanical and plumbing design through a design-build project delivery method.

The new Orchard Park student housing development will consist of 11 buildings, 3 for students with families and 8 for graduate students. The residential buildings will feature multiple unit styles including studio, 2 and 4 bedrooms, totaling in 613 living units.
