BRECKENRIDGE, CO
This comprehensive renovation transformed a DoubleTree into a Curio Collection by Hilton, upgrading 208 guest rooms and revitalizing amenity spaces such as meeting rooms, dining areas, and outdoor zones. The project was honored as a ColoradoBiz Top Project of 2024.
RTM provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, technology, and fire protection design services, supporting system sizing, service coordination, and energy compliance across the property. HVAC design included snowmelt and pool systems; plumbing and fire protection upgrades were integrated in both front- and back-of-house areas. Electrical services supported power distribution and emergency systems. RTM also assisted during construction with bid reviews, pre-construction meetings, and document clarifications.
Lighting design helped define the hotel’s modern mountain identity. Collaborating with Oz Interiors, RTM developed custom elements like gondola pendant fixtures and a backlit vertical slat wall in the lobby. Layered lighting enhanced focal points such as the fireplace, restaurant, and guest rooms, while integrated controls and energy-saving strategies supported both ambiance and performance.
