BRECKENRIDGE, CO

The hotel completed a comprehensive renovation to elevate its brand from a DoubleTree to a Curio Collection by Hilton. The extensive makeover transformed 208 guest rooms, along with all major amenity spaces, including ballrooms, meeting rooms, the restaurant, bar, fitness center, exterior patios, and hot tub deck. The design focused on enhancing the modern mountain aesthetic, with new lighting features that complemented the clean architectural lines throughout the property.

OZ Interiors collaborated on custom gondola pendant lighting and the stunning backlit vertical slat mountain wall, creating a welcoming focal point for guests as they enter the hotel. The lobby underwent a complete reimagination, with flexible recessed linear track lighting, concealed cove lighting, and discreet downlights, all centered around an impressive custom fireplace. These lighting solutions helped create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The main bar and restaurant were also redesigned with lighting as a key element. Recessed linear tape lights accentuate the textured glass bottle display, while downlights, decorative pendants, and sconces provide both visual interest and functional illumination to aid in wayfinding.

In the guest rooms and suites, lighting was seamlessly integrated into the furniture, enhancing both functionality and design. The hotel also updated its lighting control system with modern features such as custom-engraved guest room keypads, amenity area touch screens, and integration with the AV and building systems. Additionally, energy-saving measures were implemented throughout the hotel to improve sustainability.
