The Evans Scholars Foundation is a non-profit organization established by the Western Golf Association, with a mission to send deserving caddies to college by providing full tuition and housing scholarships. As the nation’s largest scholarship program for caddies, the Evans Scholars Program addresses the barriers to college graduation faced by students and prepares them for a lifetime of success.

RTM provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design for the new administration building in Glenview, serving as the foundation’s headquarters, and uniting the WGA staff in one location. The facility was designed with flexibility and growth in mind, featuring versatile space for day-to-day operations, events, and scholarship interviews and related programming. An essential characteristic of the interior and exterior design concerned the building equipment being concealed behind other design features. This required extra coordination and creativity between the engineering and architectural/interior design team members to ensure that the owner’s goals were met without sacrificing any other building elements.

The two-story building includes a mix of open workspaces, private offices, a 150-person meeting/event space, and displays of the history of WGA and ESF through a Caddie Hall of Fame. Additionally, to capture the essence and mission of the organization, the surrounding site was designed to reflect a golf course.
