RTM provided engineering and design of the electrical systems for the new three-story, 165,000-square-foot middle school building at 100 S. Garfield Street in Hinsdale, IL.
The main floor includes nine core classrooms, a STEAM lab (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), the gymnasium, locker rooms, cafeteria, school administrative offices, student services area, media resource center, band room, orchestra room, choir rooms and various practice rooms, and a 500-seat auditorium.
The second floor includes 19 core classrooms, the fitness center, an elevated running track, the applied technology classroom, several spaces for small group instruction.
The third floor includes 11 core classrooms, and the lower level has space for mechanical/electrical equipment and a data center.
Coordination of electrical requirements for kitchen equipment was also included.
