RTM provided engineering and design of the MEP systems for the build-out of approximately 13,000 square feet in an existing office building for new office and support spaces. Scope included energy efficient design to correlate with the building’s LEED Gold certification.

The third floor is heated and cooled using existing water-to-water heat pumps, rooftop units with chilled water cooling coils, hot water re-heat coils, full economizers, and fan powered VAV boxes with hot water heat. All temperature controls are electronic, direct digital controls. The DDC system is capable of performing time of day scheduling, demand limiting, and temperature reset. Each space is equipped with lighting controls that allows the occupants to control the light to multiple levels. The offices, community rooms, and conference rooms are equipped with dual lighting circuits.
