CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW PRINCIPALS
We are proud to announce the promotion of five new Principals to the RTM Engineering Consultants team. While each individual may have come to RTM through a different career path, they all share the same CORE values and have demonstrated a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work over the years.
Read about each of our new Principals below:
Jeff Hancock possesses 21 years of experience designing mechanical systems with a portfolio focused on commercial, retail, restaurant, and industrial projects. He joined RTM in 2016 as part of the acquisition of Lippe and Associates. Since then, he has taken on additional responsibilities in project management and office leadership. Jeff enjoys the fast-paced work of restaurant and retail projects and values how RTM maintains a small-company feel while continuing to grow nationwide. A few of Jeff’s notable achievements include developing mechanical engineering and design efficiencies that have helped him successfully complete projects, sharing that knowledge with younger team members, and his recent promotion to Principal. As he continues his career with RTM, he would like to expand his local team to support additional services from the Dallas office.
Dalrio Lewis brings more than 17 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor. He joined RTM in 2015 as part of the acquisition of Milan Engineering, and since then has held the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Orlando office. He quickly added client management and business development to his responsibilities, gaining a deeper understanding of our clients’ needs and helping to expand our local presence. One of his notable achievements includes leading a team of engineers in designing a zero-carbon building that utilizes renewable energy resources and sustainable heating and cooling systems. Having older siblings who are also engineers, Dalrio inevitably developed an interest in the same and enjoys learning about the mechanics of these systems and how they function together. One of his favorite things about the AEC industry is that each challenge is unique and requires thoughtfulness and collaboration to achieve a desired result. Currently Dalrio holds a professional license in Florida but is working towards his license in California as well.
Michael Mitchell joined RTM in 2022 as part of the acquisition of BRIC Partnership and brings 18 years of experience in project management and lighting and power design. Since joining RTM, Michael has been diligently working to help expand the firm’s healthcare and hospitality markets, and recently transferred to the St. Louis office to share his expertise with the team in an effort to reach more clients in this sector. He has always loved math, science, and building things and remembers fondly working with an electrical contractor for several summers that helped steer him towards his current profession. One of his favorite things about engineering is the variety of work it provides, no two projects are ever the same, however he is most passionate about larger campus infrastructure projects. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
Ryan Pilarcik joined RTM’s Dallas office in 2018 and has 22 years of experience in electrical engineering design. His portfolio includes design in retail and residential markets, including various tenant buildouts. Ryan has a record of accomplishments producing innovative solutions with tangible results, and his experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and effectively communicating with clients makes him an asset on any project and a natural leader. As Principal, Ryan is dedicated to sharing his knowledge through mentorship and continuing to grow RTM into one of the most preferred engineering consulting firms in the industry.
Stephen Porter possesses over 24 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design with expertise in the K-12, higher education, and healthcare markets. He joined RTM in 2022 as part of the acquisition of BRIC Partnership and has been the Office Leader for the Evansville team since then. Now as Principal, Stephen is passionate about mentoring and training new engineers and is looking forward to growing his office by seeking out other rockstar team members to join RTM. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and credits his career journey for helping him be a better person and engineer. One of his favorite things about the engineering profession is the ability to watch projects go from an initial design idea to reality. Today, Stephen is licensed in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wyoming.
