RTM Engineering Consultants, a trusted engineering consulting partner to some of the nation’s most respected architectural firms and Fortune 500 companies, welcomes David Piluski, PE, as a Principal for the firm. Piluski will be located in the Schaumburg office.

Piluski brings over 30 years of expertise in mechanical engineering and project team leadership for building MEP systems in the following market sectors; Higher Education (community and technical colleges as well as universities), K-12 Education, Healthcare, Civic and Government, and Restaurant/Retail. Piluski has led projects nationwide including rollouts with several fast casual food service chains, and has secured repeat multi-year exclusive services contracts with several higher education institutions. His extensive MEP industry knowledge allows him to not only manage several concurrent projects, but also perform facility assessments and feasibility studies for clients in order to provide cost effective short- and long-term recommendations and master planning support.

Prior to joining RTM, Piluski served as Director of Illinois Operations at IBC Engineering Services, where he managed multiple projects in Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and nationwide. Piluski led MEP design team efforts for construction projects from concept design, permit and contract documents, and construction administration for MEP trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, telecom, and fire protection. Piluski’s responsibilities have included overseeing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously from concept to construction as well as leading efforts to incorporate sustainable design elements in projects of varying scope at all budget levels.

Piluski is a licensed professional engineer in seven states and has a record on file with NCEES. He attended Northern Illinois University and The University of North Dakota in the study of Mechanical Engineering and is a member of ASHRAE, ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineers), ICC (International Code Council), and NFPA as a member of the Architects/Engineers Section and as a Certified Firefighter II.
