The Farm at Brush Creek

RTM provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting design for this luxury ranch featuring farm-to-table dining, an event pavilion, brewery, distillery, climate-controlled wine cellar, tasting room, spirit bar, bakery, and creamery. Brush Creek Ranch truly captures the natural beauty of its surroundings and perfectly blends a bevy of modern conveniences for each guest.

The goal was to create a warm and inviting environment with the lighting design. Multiple mockups were developed to ensure dining tables would be perfectly accented from track lighting high above, while back bars showcased the impressive wine and liquor collections with concealed accent illumination. In the wine cave, special care was taken to filter out UV wavelengths from the light source to minimize any potentially harmful effects to the expansive wine selection.

Coordination with the interiors team and millworker included a thorough shop drawing review, which was essential for achieving discrete and effective lighting details. To mimic traditional incandescent light sources, RTM evaluated various tape light samples of different color temperatures, settling on a 2350K option that complemented the warmth of the wood finishes.

To enhance the space’s nighttime atmosphere, several days and nights were spent on-site aiming the lighting to highlight artwork, sculptures, and displays, making scene settings crucial for establishing the perfect ambiance from morning to night.
