RTM has been designing the MEP/FP systems for the JCPenney Company since 2003. Projects have ranged from new construction to remodels involving either stand-alone stores or mall take-overs. In 2006, RTM became their prototype engineer.
To present, RTM has designed well over 275 projects for JCPenney, including their first green store. This new store was designed to meet the requirements for a LEED® NC Silver rating. RTM aided in this endeavor by implementing innovative MEP design solutions including high efficiency plumbing fixtures and optimizing mechanical system efficiency.
RTM has been essential in incorporating the Sephora remodels within JCPenney stores. Special attention is given to the electrical systems involved in order to ensure the cosmetics case lighting and security cases are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
