RTM provided full MEP engineering design services for the ground up, 334,000-square-foot Embassy Suites and Conference Center in Denton, TX. The 11-story hotel features 318 guestrooms with one presidential suite, indoor and outdoor pools with a kid’s splash pad, fitness center, and a Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar within.
RTM also provided MEP engineering design services for the connected 80,000-square-foot conference center, which includes indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate a variety of events. Some features include small and large conference and meeting rooms, an 8,000-square-foot event lawn space, and a 3,000-square-foot rooftop patio space.
Within the first floor of the hotel, RTM designed a variable air volume mechanical system, and used a chilled water system for the hotel tower. The lighting throughout the hotel and conference center was designed using LED and featured an automated controls system within the guestrooms so lights will fully dim when rooms are unoccupied. This project is anticipated to achieve LEED Gold status.
