The new Christian County Circuit Court building is a 3-story, 36,000-square-foot judicial facility that will feature two circuit courtrooms, prosecutor’s office area, juvenile office area, and required support spaces. This building will be provided with a centrally controlled air handling unit system with several layers of redundancy and custom accessories to reduce sound levels into the spaces below. Components were specifically located to allow for service and maintenance access, specifically in secured and locked down areas of the building. The building was designed with high efficiency mechanical equipment and lighting control systems to reduce energy usage and future expenses for the building. A natural gas fired generator will provide emergency and stand-by power for emergency lighting, critical communication and security systems, as well as for other select equipment and power locations.
